Running

Wednesday 7pm on Level -1 by OJ’s

The main reasons to join the Y Running Club are to keep fit and maintain or improve your running and cardiovascular ability or for cross-training purposes. Running with a group means that you work harder and make more progress – and then it’s great fun!

Training sessions tend to vary in speed /distance/pace, dependant on the time of year. In total we’d expect to run no less than 5 miles in a session. You must be able to at least run for 45 mins outside (as opposed to on the treadmill). We tend to run in pairs and will pair you accordingly, where possible.

We offer members the chance to review their own technique and give feedback and guidance on how to improve on an ongoing basis and also help develop speed and discover what distances may apply to your body type.

PLEASE NOTE
It is advisable to wear good running shoes and ensue that you have the correct running gear appropriate to the weather on the day.
